The Children's Cancer Network, is designed to bring the key teams and professionals together who provide the clinical and holistic components of the care pathway for children with cancer.
The goal of the Network is to enable children and families, as the service users, to access the right care in the right place and at the right time. This includes ensuring clinical trials are offered where appropriate, and providing co-ordinated, holistic and psychosocial support whilst ensuring a family centred approach.

All children within the East of England with a suspected cancer diagnosis are referred to Addenbrooke's for diagnosis and overall management of their disease.
Addenbrooke's Hospital is the Principal Treatment Centre (PTC) in the region. Children are seen in the Paediatric Day Unit (PDU) and may have some or all of their treatment on ward C2. Teenagers may have their treatment on C9 (TCT TYA unit).

C2 has a playroom where play specialists plan a range of activities, and an outside play area. A school room is open term time Monday-Friday. There is a teenage room for those over 12, a child free parents room and laundry facilities.
The ward operates an open visiting policy during the day but discourages visits after 8pm except for parents. Beds are provided on the ward for one adult to stay with their child overnight.
Please visit the CUH website for more information about ward C2.

All staff on C2 wear ID badges and can be identified by the colours of their uniforms.

Some treatment may take place in a Paediatric Oncology Shared Care Unit (POSCU), allowing children and young people up to the age of 16 to be treated closer to home, reducing the impact of travel for patients and their families.
